Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the head of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of child eyewitness memories as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is the author of a wide range of research publications as well as numerous grants to her name, is also the recipient of numerous international and national prizes. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the globe on policies and research relating to child victims in the justice system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
